Abstracts and Early Registration Due March 8, 2004

Dear Colleagues:

The faculty and staff at the Flathead Lake Biological Station (FLBS) are pleased to host the 2004 Plecoptera-Ephemeroptera Meetings. FLBS is located on the east shore of Flathead Lake. Our facilities include fully-equipped labs and accommodations to house and feed up to 100 people.

A mid-meeting tour is scheduled to our NSF-funded long-term floodplain research site on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River.  We work on biogeochemical cycling and biodiversity relationships on this big gravel-bed flood plain and look forward to showcasing this project. Collecting opportunities are abundant and available in a wide variety of habitats. In addition, the Station grounds are spacious (ponderosa pine - grand fir forest) and collecting may be done on the lakeshore and in several local streams. See our web site for many pictures of the Station and area.  The web site provides all the information you need for abstracts and registration (www.umt.edu/flbs).  In an effort to be environmentally-friendly, no printed information will be sent unless specifically requested.

Please plan to join us in Montana in August, 2004!
