Redécouverte de Neoephemera maxima (Joly, 1870) pour la France [Ephemeroptera . Neoephemeridae]

En 1996, THOMAS & MASSELOT ont considéré comme "probablement disparus" de France , Ametropus fragilis (Pays-Bas; ALBARDA. 1878), Isonychia ignota (Toulouse; EATON, 1885), et Neoephemera maxima (Toulouse; VAYSSIERE, 1882).
Des analyses hydrobiologiques récentes (22 novembre 1998) sur une rivière landaise ont été l'occasion de la redécouverte pour la France de Neoephemera maxima (Joly, 1870). unique représentant de sa famille en Europe (Neoephemeridae).
Il s'agit de la station la plus occidentale observée depuis le début du siècle.

ln 1996. THOMAS & MASSELOT regarded as "probably disappeared" from France : Ametropus fragilis (Netherlands; ALBARDA, 1878), Isonvchia ignota (Toulouse; EATON, 1885). and Neoephemera maxima (Toulouse; VAYSSIERE, 1882).
Recent hydrobiologic analyses (November 22. 1998) in a river from Southwestern France were the occasion of the rediscovery of Neoephemera maxima (JOLY. 1870). single representing its family in Europe (Neoephemeridae).
It is the most western station observed since the beginning of the century.
